New Kinderland kids’ area at Frommer Alm
A new highlight for our younger skiers and families is set to provide thrills from the 2015/2016 winter season - the new Kinderland kids’ area at Frommer Alm. A special feature is the modern cable winch lift, the only one of its kind in South Tyrol, with which the little ones can delve into King Laurin’s crystal palace, where once industrious dwarves worked. A snow snail brings this spectacle to life. The new cable winch lift is 110 metres long, covers a height difference of 18 metres and is able to transport 650 children per hour. In addition, along the Laurin 1 slope from Frommer Alm to Welschnofen, a King Laurin themed piste has been created. In future kids will be able to experience the exciting tales of Laurin and his Similde at 6 points along the route. There are also two rest areas where they can take a break for a while.

Family-friendly: no price rise for 3-hour tickets and season passes

The entrepreneurs at the Carezza ski resort have taken an extremely family-friendly step for the 2015/2016 winter season by not increasing their prices for season passes and the popular 3-hour tickets. This means that this year every adult can again explore the ski resort below the Rosengarten and Latemar mountains in the UNESCO world heritage site for 3 whole hours for just 25 euros. "We took this decision in light of the general economic situation and to show some goodwill to families. In actual fact entrepreneurs are forced to raise their prices due to the annual increases in costs. However with this move we aim to set a family-friendly tone in terms of pricing policy,” said Georg Eisath, President of Carezza Ski.

New: go as far as Sella and Pordoi with the Fassa / Carezza ski pass
Thanks to the new Alba-Col dei Rossi gondola, in future it will be possible to access the slopes at Sella and Pordoi with the Fassa / Carezza ski pass. This is a tremendous additional benefit and a gain for the ski resort, since in future it will be possible to travel from Alba to the Sellaronda in 15 minutes with the new lift.
The new “Funifor” gondola line from Doppelmayr is 2,260 metres long, covers a difference in altitude of 883 metres and is able to transport 1,120 people per hour (2 cabins each with a capacity of 100). In less than 5 minutes skiers can reach Canazei-Belvedere and Campitello-Col Rodella from Alba, and thus directly access the Sellaronda. From December the ski carousels of the Val di Fassa, Pozza-Buffaure, Alba-Ciampac, Canazei-Belvedere and Campitello-Col Rodella, will all be connected to one another,  meaning that in addition to the 41 varied kilometres of slopes in Carezza, it will also be possible to access 73 km of skiing fun in Val di Fassa without needing to use a ski bus.
